It has been a crazy week so the Wednesday WrapUp is today. I’ll post my picks for the showdown on MNF later.
Packers 36 Rams 17
So this game should’ve been a blowout right from the start, one good drive and two Ram turnovers and the Pack could have been up like 17-3. Then they give up two TD’s to a backup FB and its 24-17 at half. But Rodgers looked solid once again, and Driver was again awesome. It was good to see the Packers actually NOT run it on first down in the second half. But for crissakes, please stop with the deep throws! It is crazy that none of these were picked off….Can’t believe how much they ARENT a west coast offense this year. The NFL can be broken apart into 4 game stretches. Teams that are doing good usually can keep it going for four weeks or so, whether its the deep pass, running game, little quirk in the offense or defense, etc. Eventually, after a few weeks of studying film someone figures something out and adjusts. So is McCarthy actually smart enough to not reveal all his cards until the Viking game?
Vikings 27 Niners 24
I stopped watching this game when Favre’s floater on 4th and 5 fell incomplete with like two minutes left. (If the San Fran DB doesn’t drop a certain TAINT on a crap throw by Favre then the game is over) So after seeing this mess, I assumed San Fran would win…Then I had to listen to that crazily biased Vikings radio play by play guy on my way home. If the Vikings lose this game, some of the Favre supporters would’ve jumped ship. Only watched parts of this game, but he didn’t look good. That can easily be atoned for though, when you throw a 30 yard TD with 10 seconds left in the back of the end zone. Still don’t get why the 49ers didn’t have like 5 guys standing in the end zone. There was only 16 seconds on the clock when the play started!
Bears 25 Seahawks 19
Very surprised this game was close since Hasselbeck was out. Didn’t even see many highlights of this one, but definitely a good road win for the Bears. Seattle is notoriously a bad place for most non-west coast teams. Cutler has been good two weeks in a row now, so is Week 4 is next breakdown game or?
Lions 19 Skins 14
Lions Win! Yes the Lions won! Good job! I watched a couple minutes of this game and was most impressed by the Lions D.
Week 3 Winners
- Lions – Now don’t get too cocky…
- Aaron Rodgers – Calm and crisp, love the energy!
- Ryan Grant – Some life there, actually saw him break a couple tackles
- Jonny Jolly – Solid, please TT sign him soon!
Week 3 Losers
- Brad Childress – Keep forgetting that this douche should be here by default. Also, Chilli has the worst beard on TV.
- A.J. Hawk – Sorry man, I am always pulling for ya but always seeing you getting pushed around or tackling someone from behind….I.E. No impact plays or big hits a top 5 pick should be making.
- Paul Allen – Seriously this guy drives me crazy during Vikings games. Actually I only hate him when the Vikings are doing good, its a pleasure listening to him when the Vikings are losing.
